Summer Activity (May to September)

The Hospitallers of St. Joseph Monastery Garden

During summer, the Museum invites you to visit the monastery “secret” garden of the Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph, a peaceful oasis hidden behind a massive stone wall in the heart of the city, with one of our guides. There you can learn all about the architecture of the heritage buildings of the Hôtel-Dieu, Montreal’s first hospital, which was originally located on St-Paul street.

Guided tours of the garden will be back for the 2020 summer season.
