But how did our ancestors view this mountain? How have they inhabited it? The Mount Royal has been a key witness to the evolution of the center of the island of Montreal for the past 5000 years. The exhibition <em>Our Moutain: Memories of Mount Royal<\/em> tells the story of this emblematic place.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;11px&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Mount Royal inspired many religious communities that settled on its territory, such as the Sulpicians and the Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph.
