Montreal native François Zeitouni is the tenured organist at the Gesù since 2005. Over the last 20 years, he has lead a brilliant career as a pianist and organist. He is a well sought-after chamber musician who regularly gives recitals alongside Benoit Loiselle, Marie-Nicole Lemieux, and Olivier Thouin, to name a few. Several of his performances have been broadcast on Radio-Canada and CBC. As for his discography, with Disques XXI, he recorded les Noëls pour orgues by Louis-Claude d’Aquin as well as l’Oeuvre pour violon et piano by Gabriel Fauré with violinist Olivier Thouin in 2009. The latter record received high praise from critics in North America and Europe. In fact, critics from the prestigious Strad magazine chose it as the record of the month for July 2010. François Zeitouni often performs as supernumerary for several orchestras, such as the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Violons du Roy, and I Musici. He was invited to join the OSM for its European tours in 2009 and 2014. From the age of fourteen, and for several years, François Zeitouni held the position of substitute organist of the Saint-Joseph’s Oratory of Mount-Royal.
