Guided Tour: Frederick Law Olmsted’s Legacy

The guided tour Frederick Law Olmsted’s Legacy: Exploring the Therapeutic Value of Mount Royal will take visitors from the garden of the Hospitalières to the Camillien-Houde lookout via the eastern slope of Mount Royal Park. The tour will take place on Saturday, September 28, in collaboration with Les Amis de la montagne.

Historical Tour of the Hospitalières Garden

Visit the “secret” garden of the Monastery of the Hospitalières of Saint-Joseph, a true oasis of peace hidden behind a stone wall in the heart of the city. Discover the garden’s history, from a nourishing plot in 1861 to the decorative garden we know today. You will also learn about the heritage buildings of the Hôtel-Dieu.

Hike with Public Art Montreal

This two-part activity allows you to visit the temporary exhibition Notre montagne. Mémoires du mont Royal, followed by a discovery of public art pieces that dot Mount Royal Park. This event is presented in collaboration with Art Public Montréal.
