Mount Royal Park’s 150th Anniversary
To celebrate the anniversary of Mount Royal Park, a place dear to the hearts of Montrealers, the Musée des Hospitalières is offering a range of themed activities throughout the summer and fall, in collaboration with Les Amis de la Montagne and Art Public Montréal. Tours, hikes, historical tours, and lectures will provide an opportunity to explore the various aspects of Mount Royal’s history, ranging from Frederick Law Olmsted’s landscape design to the public artworks found on the mountain.
Mont Royal’s Public Art Guided Tour
This tour invites you to explore the many public artworks located on Mount Royal, from the base of the mountain to one of its peaks. In collaboration with Art Public Montréal.

Tribute to Pierre Mercure : Guided tour of the works from the International Sculpture Symposium (1964)
As part of a tribute to composer Pierre Mercure, discover the works of the Sculpture Symposium (1964) through a musical performance, a screening of the film La forme des choses (Jacques Giraldeau, NFB, 1965), and a guided tour of the site. In collaboration avec Art Public Montréal.

Historical Tours of the Monastary Garden
Discover what lies behind the iconic stone walls of Plateau-Mont-Royal, as well as the history of the Hospitallers’ garden. From its origins as an agricultural land in 1861 to its current status as an ornamental garden, and including the historic buildings of the Hôtel-Dieu, this site is full of wonders.
